Information Collection and Storage
On this Site we will collect information about your health status and current or previous diseases. Further, we will ask you for an email address. The purpose of your email address is solely so that we can contact you.
We have taken careful consideration in our data acquisition forms to not allow you to submit data which can identify you, For example; we only ask for your country, and possible region, of residence (not your address) and your age (not your birthday).
The purpose of collecting your email address is to enable us to contact you. By submitting your email address you allow us to contact you in relation to, among other; inform you about updates on the Site, updates which we find relevant to your health situation, regular questionnaires about your health situation, invitation to relevant surveys.
Your health information is stored in a database together with an anonymous user ID. Your email address is stored encrypted and in a separate database.
Usage of Information we Collect
The purpose of the site is to improve cancer care and treatment, whereas we believe access to data is key. By submitting information about your health status and current or previous diseases, you agree that we will use the information for this purpose, for example allow third parties to conduct research and share data with third party institutions. Your information will always be kept anonymous.
Your health information will be used to adapt the Site to you and to produce various services to you, such as (but not limited to): Visualization of your health data, selection of relevant learning content, placing you into relevant forums, identifying others in your situation, produce comparison reports, provide customized questionnaires.
Your health information will become part of our database, and as the collective information from all our users grows, we will be able to produce an increasingly better and more accurate service to our users.
Processing of your data is performed in accordance with the data privacy laws of Norway. Norway is part of the European Economic Area (EEA) and its data privacy level is comparable to the European Union. Please find further information in our data privacy statement.
All content on Progether is for informational purposes only and is not intended to substitute professional medical advice. Diagnosis of your medical condition and the prescription of treatment can only be made by your physician or a qualified medical provider. You should not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of the content on Progether.
Accuracy of Information
Progether cannot and do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information, as the Site rely on user input. We reserve the right to change or update information, including exclusion of obviously wrong information from users, and to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice.
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
Closure of your Account
You can at any given time close your account at the Site. If you do so all the information you have registered with us will be permanently deleted. Aggregated information where your information was included anonymously, such as reports, statistics, research etc. will however remain as such.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
The Service offered on the Site, and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Progether AS and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both Norway and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Progether AS.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Progether AS, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.
Progether AS any partners, subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that a) the Service will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
Changes to These Terms
If we make any material changes to these terms, we will notify you either via the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on the Site.
